Amber

Amber has been used as jewelry since the Stone Age, from 13,000 years ago. Amber ornaments have been found in Mycenaean tombs and elsewhere across Europe. Reference: Wikipedia. It is a material made from fossilized tree resin and the most desirable ones are those that contain insects or tiny animals such as reptiles. Amber has also been used for cameos and intaglios.
